White Quartz also known as Milky Quartz has been used in crystal healing treatments for centuries. It is believed to bring emotional stability and clarity, as well as provide protection from negative energy. It is thought to be a powerful stone for energizing and cleansing the aura.
This medium size white quartz polished crystal ball has some marvellous qualities, including interesting crystal formations within. The orb is slightly translucent when held to the light and has wonderful dusky tones. I have created and soldered a decorative sterling silver band around the sphere which hangs delicately on a sterling silver chain made from recycled silver.
It reminds me a little of the pool of light jewellery popular among 1920’s flapper girls and has a lovely cool feel to it. It is a medium size at 2 cm wide by 2.5 cm tall and would suit a medium to longer length necklace.
