I love to assemble artifacts that have been gifted to me by the ocean. There is something magical in finding treasures from the sea and altering them to create a desirable object with a new purpose.
It was a joy to find this tartan style floor tile sea pottery piece on Valencia beach and it has a wonderful geometric design that fits well within this found object assemblage. The tumbled pastel yellow milk glass piece at Seaham in the North of England, where Victorian and Edwardian glass factories once stood and where now you can find tiny ghosts of the past. Milk glass, which was popular during Victorian times, rarely has such curved features as it weathers much slower than seaglass in the tides, so this is an unusual find indeed. On the same trip, I also found an accompanying lemon drop seaglass piece which seems to radiate light from within.
I have carefully drilled each piece using an under water technique and then wire wrapped them in sterling silver to a nautical style twisted ring. They are suspended on a chain in sterling silver and in your choice of length.
