This bubble glass bottle necklace radiates rainbows as if it were a message from Arke.
In Greek mythology, Arke was a daughter of Thaumas and sister of Iris. She was affiliated with all second rainbows and had iridescent wings.
Tiny iridescent glass bubbles have been captured in a round bottomed glass amulet, just like Arke's. Each one shines like a rainbow and changes colour as the pendant moves around. The amulet is about 3cm tall and it is accompanied with a silver plated scallop shell charm.
During the Titanomachy, Arke betrayed the Olympian gods and joined the Titans against them, becoming the Titans' messenger goddess. Just before the Olympians won, Arke captured rain droplets from her rainbow because she knew, given the chance, Zeus would take her wings for her betrayal. She put the droplets in a tear drop amulet and hid it around her neck before being cast into Tartarus, together with the other vanquished Titans.
