Gothic style Labradorite semi precious square gemstone necklace featuring a peacock green, blue and sunset yellow crystal framed in a decorative sterling silver filigree band.
Labradorite was originally discovered on the Isle of Paul in 1770. Since then, this rainbow aura stone has also been found in Norway and Finland. I have carefully framed this specimen in sterling silver using a decorative band and soldered it together with a twisted silver ring. This has allowed the back of the stone to remain open so you can see the beauty in the reverse of the stone as well. I like how the iridescent Labradorite cabochon reflects green and blue rainbows across its crystal surface and has a particularly gothic aura.
The stone has various surface fractures and striations in keeping with this naturally occurring rock. Including the frame and bail, it is 3.2 cm tall x 2.5 cm wide and is 0.8 cm deep. It sits on a sterling silver chain in a length to suit you.
