A nod to Gaudi who looked to ocean corals and marine life for inspiration.

These dangle earrings feature ceramic pottery beads that I have created myself and kiln fired in my studio. I have chosen organic shapes that remind me of corals and urchins on the sea floor and paired them with seaglass nuggets and salvaged baroque pearls with the tones of tropical oceans. Spanish architect, Antoni Gaudí infused many of his creations with iridescent colours and familiar shapes found most often beneath the sea.

The seafoam sea glass nuggets were found at Seaham, England, where glass factories once stood and where now you can find ghosts of the past washing up on the shore twice a day.

These earrings are suspended on stainless steel wires. They are a medium weigh at 6.9g each.
